When Grand Wailea reimagined its spa experience as part of a comprehensive resort transformation, the property turned to LATHER Custom to develop a signature collection worthy of the moment. Launching alongside the newly unveiled Kilolani Spa, named for the ancient Hawaiian stargazers who navigated by the sky, and now hailed by Condé Nast Traveller as "the most thoughtfully Hawaiian approach to wellness anywhere," the collection needed to match that ambition note for note.

The Strategy

Create the Kilolani Spa Honey Mango collection, a sensory extension of the spa experience featuring fragrance notes of coconut, bergamot, pineapple, ripe mango, and tonka bean.

Formulate with naturally derived Hawaiian botanicals (papaya extract, pineapple, coconut oil, aloe vera, and shea butter), echoing the spa's commitment to holistic wellness.

Ensure products are spa-grade (free of sulfates and parabens) as well as reef-safe and Hawaii-compliant, with locked, large format bottles made from 100% ocean-bound plastic and cartons from 100% recycled materials.
